I love the convenience of a battery operated naile

I just bought the M18 battery operated nail gun, I bought 18 gauge 1 1/2 nails and it won't continually shoot the nails, I installed 1 1/4 nails and no problem, I tried every brand of 1 1/2 nails and get the same results. There isn't a guide ridge for the 1 1/2 like the 1 1/4 but some plastic spring thing so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or is it the nailer? This is a game changer in time and not dragging a compressor and hoses around. I bought the 15 gauge first and haven't had any trouble with it.

This thing is amazing

I bought this to do exterior wood restoration on my 125 year old house. I’m by no means a professional. This was the biggest project I ever took on. This was my 6th m18 tool and it is now my favorite.

I now walk around my house like Clint Eastwood looking for any trim or casing that’s gotten out of line, just so I can shoot it. Haha.

I’ve gotten rid of my air compressor and hoses, because this product makes life so much easier. Don’t hesitate, get this product if you are here reading reviews, it’s worth it in spades.

Great when it works

I’ve been mostly happy with this gun - I purchased it mostly for trim work, firing 2” 18ga brads. I’ve found that it consistently jams towards to end of a strip of nails - so much so that when I had to buy a box that were in half-length strips, it doubled the failure rate. Losing a couple of pins per strip isn’t the worst, but it is frustrating. The reason I’m here is that at the end of my most recent strip of nails, it jammed as expected, but having removed the battery and opened the reach at the top to remove the final few nails, the magazine will not slide open. I can’t find any help on this, so am hoping a company rep can contact me. In all, this is still a huge time saver and battery life is excellent. I would still recommend.

How about length of Nails the gun will accept?

Haven't bought it yet. Trying to find out length of nails the gun will accept. They tell you everything about it but one of the most important things.
