I use 3 of these 24 hours a day 6 days a week 52 weeks a year they last about a year then you send them in for repair and never have trouble again I don't know what they do but it fixes the problem you don't have to send them back twice they do the job they are designed to do with less space than 6 individual chargers and the plug design is brilliant we plug them all into 1 plug
This charger is great I can fill it with batteries and they are all vharged in the morning. But it grew legs and walked out with 2 of my beloved batteries. Now I have to buy another.
Got this charger so we didn’t have to have 6 separate chargers and power strips all over the place. It makes charging batteries very convenient. As far as people complaining about it not charging all at the same time well that’s not an issue for us. We use everything from the 2ah batteries right up to the monster 12ah Depending on the job and tool we’re using. I find that by the time one dies we have another ready to work so it’s not an issue. I’d suggest stepping up to a more powerful battery so by the time it dies your other is ready to go. I liked it so much I got the m12 version because we run m12 tools as well and we kill those faster than the m18 batteries. That one works great as well. Just my 2 cents. Great job Milwaukee.
I am an electronics engineer and Sequential is a good trade off. The power required to charge 6 M18 LI batteries at once is possible but would make the unit huge, heavy and expensive. I'm certain this has been thought of by the company and rejected. Would likely need a fan to dissipate the heat. Like all of the M18 tools I have, it says what it does and does what it says.
