Milwaukee 48-22-1926 Tradesman Fixed Blade Knife

I collect and use knives...a lot.
Of all the knives I have, this one is the one I use constantly!

I bought this knife to be a deer knife and I got to use it and it was the only knife I needed stayed very sharp and worked very good got home and cleaned it and looked at the knife and looked to see if it rolled on itself and it didn’t! And was so sharp it just was cutting hairy of my arm! The knife is a very good knife!!

I use it everyday to cut wires to rope never fails keeps its edge even when cutting wires best knife I bought ever hands down

I acquired two of these for light outdoor work and to compare different sharpening techniques.

I am curious about the steel used here. I reprofiled one of the knives and stropped it with Flexcut Gold on leather. After using it to carve and chop through scrap wood, I found it would still shave hair and chop through oranges and other soft fruit with little effort.

My only knocks against it are the slick handle (wrap it, no big deal) and the sheath, which isn't much for retention. Finding or making a replacement wouldn't be difficult.

If the handle on this thing ever breaks, I'm pretty sure I can keep it going. It's a great user knife for about twenty bucks, and the edge holds up fine so far at around 20 degrees per side.

My expectations weren't high for such a knife. I'm pleasantly surprised. At this price, it's no huge loss if I mess the edge up.

I'd buy this again, and I recommend it to my friends who need a budget knife for hard use.

I would also like to suggest making a partial serrated blade option for this model. I highly recommend you get at least one..
