Milwaukee Tool continues to innovate in a category they invented 70 years ago by delivering ground-breaking performance with the introduction of the next generation of M18 FUEL™ SUPER HAWGS® with the power and speed to replace corded right angle drills. Designed from the ground-up with an upgraded POWERSTATE™ Brushless Motor and optimized REDLINK PLUS™ electronics and paired the REDLITHIUM™ HIGH OUTPUT™ 6.0AH Batteries, the new M18 FUEL™ SUPER HAWG® has the power to drill 6-1/4” holes through 6” beam at corded speed, as well delivering the run-time to complete single family home rough-ins or the ability to rough-in multiple multi-family units on a single charge.
I am an HVAC contractor in north central Minnesota, we use allot of 4 1/4- 6 1/4 exhaust hoods put exterior of residential homes, I figured this drill would have been a great asset to my company, but really... I would say the fuel brushless m18 standard drill provides the same results. It really doesnt justify the price that the retailer sells it for, yea its a neat product but for the weight of the drill being way to heavy for daily frequent use just doesnt make sense. I run the 6ah batteries and they just drain way too fast trying to run holes through standard rim joists, honestly, save your money and put it towards high output batteries for your standard m18 drills.
I used this drill for water and rough ins at the plumbing trade
We use the Hawg for opening and closing valves at a water treatment plant. It works great and has tons of power, easy to control the speed with the variable speed trigger and the clutch on the low speed setting.
It is heavy but does the job very well needs big battery to work well
I have been using this drill to bore holes in 4"x 8" Ponderosa pine. The drill never missed a step. Milwaukee tools are quality and power at its best.
